Refusing a harassing call led to a torrent of abuse

Anyone with a mobile phone inevitably encounters a few harassing calls, and usually just ignores them. But Mr. Song, though he did the same, the other party didn't accept it. After Mr. Song rejected the harassing call twice, he was subjected to a barrage of abuse. Subsequently, unable to bear the harassment, Mr. Song angrily reported it to the police.
Around 5 p.m. the day before yesterday, while Mr. Song was in a meeting at his company, he suddenly received a call from an unknown number. He immediately hung up, but the caller called again, and Mr. Song hung up once more. A few seconds later, the caller rang Mr. Song a third time. Mr. Song told the reporter that he thought it might be a friend with a new number who had something urgent, so he answered. To his surprise, as soon as he picked up, before he could speak, the other party launched into a furious tirade: "You motherless, fatherless bastard, why didn't you answer my call?" Mr. Song was initially baffled and asked why the caller was cursing. The other party offered no explanation and continued cursing for several minutes.
"The person who scolded me was a woman, and there was a lot of background noise, so I guess it was a telemarketing company." Mr. Song said that afternoon he received several harassing calls from the number 2223958×, and due to the harassment, he had to end the meeting. Afterwards, Mr. Song reported the incident to the police.
The police quickly located the harassing call company in Luohu. A general manager surnamed Wu from the company explained to reporters that they are a professional institution engaged in precious metal investment services, and those making calls were salespeople who primarily contacted clients by phone.
In General Manager Wu's office, reporters met the female salesperson Ms. Yin who had insulted Mr. Song. She told reporters that she insulted Mr. Song that day because she had made hundreds of calls without closing a single deal, and was in a bad mood. General Manager Wu stated that they would strengthen employee education to prevent similar incidents from happening again.
Huang Yuanshen, a senior lawyer from a well-known law firm in Guangdong, stated that citizens' freedom of communication is protected by law. Ms. Yin's behavior violated the "Public Security Administration Punishments Law," and Mr. Song can request public security authorities to handle the matter.
