Zhiming Law Firm's One-Day Trip to Yangmeikeng (Zheng Fengdan)

On May 16, to celebrate the firm's 9th anniversary, all staff members were organized for an outing to Yangmeikeng, hailed as the most beautiful valley in Shenzhen. It is said that in the northwest of Nan'ao Subdistrict, Longgang District, nestled between the Qiniang Mountain Range and the foot of Laohuzuo Mountain, there lies a hill covered with bayberry trees, and the village at the foot of the hill is named "Yangmeikeng Village." Yangmeikeng is formed by the convergence of two large streams. One is Zhengweikeng, originating between Dayanding and Sanjiao Mountain; the other is Dakeng Lake, sourced from Qiniang Mountain. Along the way, clear pools abound, the scenery is picturesque, with lush forests on both sides and a symphony of birdsong.
With a passion for life and hobbies, I got up early in the morning to gear up. The assembly time was 8:00 AM at the main entrance downstairs of Zhiming Law Firm. At exactly 8 o’clock, a group of about 30 people began our march into nature. The vehicle sped along the straight highway, with magnificent buildings occasionally springing into view outside the window, only to be left far behind in an instant. Unable to contain their restlessness, the group’s restless energy began to stir. Xiao Guan took the lead in starting interactive games, telling two cold jokes in a row—they were really cold.... Amid waves of laughter and excitement, we finally arrived at our destination.
As soon as we got off the bus, we couldn't resist embracing the sea... The deep blue sea merged with the azure sky, and the waves crashed against the rocks, sending up layer upon layer of spray. Everything suddenly opened up, as if we had arrived at the edge of the world, a feast of breathtaking beauty. At the director's call, we first took a group photo...
Next came beach tug-of-war, which truly showcased the spirit of friendship first, competition second (because a few playful tourists secretly helped one side, undermining fairness, making it hard to determine a winner).
One highlight was the eagerly participated cycling to view the sea. Under the blazing sun, even seeing the bicycles got us excited. Pushing the bikes onto the road, I was thrilled and started thinking about racing others, but before the race even began, I was left far behind. Feeling inadequate, since I couldn't go fast, I had to slowly enjoy the scenery and savor the journey. Taking deep breaths of fresh air, with the cool sea breeze blowing in my face and gazing at the vast ocean, it felt like returning to childhood. Looking back at the dust flying behind, I picked up the pace and caught up with the group.
Back at the bike rental spot, after rushing around for most of the day, my stomach was already grumbling in protest. Another purpose of this trip was, of course, to eat seafood. The most satisfying dish at lunch was the salted fish and eggplant clay pot; the rest were just average, only for the novelty.
After eating and drinking to their hearts' content, some took photos, some played games, and some went into the sea……
Under the glow of the setting sun, we concluded our day's journey and embarked on the road home. At the foot of the mountains and by the sea, the echoes of our laughter lingered long after we left…… And we carried back with us the joy that was ours to keep.
Happy times are always so fleeting, yet so memorable, and in life we must persistently seek them!
