On March 31, the Spring Tea Gathering of the Executive Education Alumni Association of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School was held at the InterContinental Shenzhen in OCT, Nanshan. With the theme of "Peking University Bond · Greater Bay Area Dream," this annual gathering focused on the topic of "China's Economic Restructuring and Development Opportunities." It brought together entrepreneurial wisdom, offered insights into potential economic development trends, and proposed new investment ideas and solutions.

Professor Zeng Hui, Vice Dean of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and doctoral supervisor, delivered the opening address. He affirmed the positive role of the Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School Executive Management Education Alumni Association in promoting exchanges among alumni and between alumni and the school, and in advancing the construction and development of Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. At the same time, he also set clear requirements and earnest expectations for the members of the first board of directors. He expressed his hope that the board would fulfill its duties diligently, adhere to the purpose of serving fellow alumni, and continuously strengthen the association’s own development; uphold the mission of serving society and continuously pool the wisdom and talents of alumni; and take serving the alma mater as its responsibility, continuously maintaining close communication and ties between alumni and the alma mater. He hoped the association would maximize its role and serve as the strongest support for all alumni.

Chen Tao, President of the Peking University Shenzhen Senior Management Education Alumni Association, introduced that the Association was established on January 7, 2018, as a non-profit organization voluntarily formed by numerous students for learning, sharing, cooperation, and exchange. A total of 96 outstanding students were elected to serve as Executive Vice Presidents, Vice Presidents, and Council Members. He believes that the establishment of the Association responds to the demands of the new era and the development of the Greater Bay Area. It serves as a bridge linking students with the university, a platform for interconnection and exchange among students, and a significant milestone in the university’s alumni work. He stated that he will lead the Association in focusing on three key areas: uniting people and building cohesion, upholding rules and promoting integrity, and engaging in charitable and public welfare activities, so as to bring honor to their alma mater and contribute to the development of the Greater Bay Area.

Chen Wei, Chairman of Shenzhen Oriental Fortune Capital Investment Management Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech titled “Rebuilding Another Ten Trillion: New Opportunities for China’s Venture Capital,” analyzing China’s existing economic structure and encouraging diversification in venture capital. He believes that China’s economy exhibits six major trends: 1. Over the next 10-15 years, China’s economy will continue to grow at a rate of 5%. 2. The digitalization wave is accelerating strongly; 3. The intelligentization wave is playing an increasingly evident role in driving the economy; 4. The technological advancement wave is developing rapidly; 5. A surge toward dozens of companies with market values exceeding one trillion yuan and hundreds of companies with market values exceeding one hundred billion yuan; 6. The implementation of the STAR Market will force reform of the IPO review system.

Zhai Jingyong, Chairman of Shenzhen Banyan Tree Investment Management Co., Ltd., delivered a keynote speech on the theme of “Value and Growth.” His insights helped entrepreneurs in attendance accurately grasp policy development trends and provided important information to support their decision-making. He pointed out that over the next 5-10 years, China’s industrial structure will undergo a new round of changes, and the rise of the semiconductor industry chain will be sufficient to rival the United States. In addition, citing the market capitalization rankings of Chinese listed companies from 2008 to 2018 and comparisons of stock prices among leading domestic and international technology companies, he reminded investors that in the process of investing in institutional dividends, they should clearly think through shifts in industrial structure and identify the investment opportunities presented by data concepts.

Chen Bing, a special commentator for Shenzhen TV's "Live Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan," delivered a keynote speech titled "China-US Trade: Process and Outcome." He analyzed the three stages of the China-US trade war and the advantages and disadvantages of both sides, explaining how to rationally view the trade war. He believes that competition will outweigh cooperation in the future of China-US relations.

The annual meeting also featured a charity awards ceremony, honoring philanthropic entrepreneurs, individual donors, and role models.

Finally, Xiao Ling, Vice President of the Peking University Shenzhen Executive Education Alumni Association and General Director of the annual meeting, shared behind-the-scenes stories of the event's preparation, including how the alumni association framework was established and the entire communication and coordination process for the annual meeting. She expressed gratitude to all the teachers and students in the preparation team, as well as every leader, guest, and dear classmate who participated, emphasizing that it was because of everyone present that this Peking University spring tea party was presented beautifully and perfectly, with a full house.
