[2] On the afternoon of July 2, 2017, the 10th Legal Profession Community Working Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "LPCC") held its first plenary meeting, marking the official launch of this committee, which will forge ahead to safeguard the Municipal Bar Association—a vessel carrying the dreams and missions of over ten thousand lawyers in the city.

[3] The meeting was attended by Jiang Xilin, Director of the Municipal Bureau of Justice; Lin Changchi, President of the Municipal Bar Association; Wei Hanjiao, Supervisor-in-Chief; Vice Presidents Zhang Cheng, Cai Hua, Zeng Mai, and Wang Tengfeng; Xu Yiqun, Director of the Legal Promotion Committee; Fang Zhuangyi, Director of the Rights Protection Committee; all committee members; and Wei Xinmin, Supervisor, as an observer. The meeting was chaired by Liu Qingjiang, Director of the LPCC.

[4] Director Liu Qingjiang reported on the division of responsibilities among the director, deputy directors, director assistants, and secretaries, and led all members in studying the "Working Rules of Special Committees of Shenzhen Lawyers Association." The meeting discussed and approved a three-year work plan and the 2017 annual work plan, organized an oath-taking ceremony for all members, and outlined recent work tasks.

[5] Vice President Zeng Mai stated that the three-year work plan and the 2017 annual plan of the LPCC clarified future directions and tasks, urging members to implement all plans effectively, collaborate closely with other special committees, and strengthen ties with public security, procuratorate, judiciary, and judicial administrative units.

[6] President Lin Changchi emphasized that the LPCC must remember its mission to protect rights and promote judicial fairness, cooperate with other special committees such as the Rights Protection Committee and the Legal Promotion Committee, further enhance communication with judicial administrative departments, extensively collect opinions and suggestions from lawyer representatives, and use Internet+ technology to establish a mutual evaluation and cooperation information exchange platform with member units of the legal profession community, continuously improving the practice environment for lawyers in the city.

Director Jiang Xilin pointed out that lawyers are an important and core component of the legal profession community. The Legal Profession Community Committee of the Municipal Bar Association should actively expand its "circle of friends," build mutual trust with member units of the legal profession community, maintain positive interactions, strengthen information exchange and academic cultural exchanges, explore new models of business cooperation, contribute to the construction of the legal profession community, and support Shenzhen's economic development.

Supervisor Wei Xinmin, on behalf of the Board of Supervisors, expressed supervisory opinions, noting that the meeting agenda was compact and efficient. The formation and establishment of the Legal Profession Community Committee complied with the association's charter and regulations, and the division of responsibilities among members was clear. He hoped that committee members would adhere to the working rules and discipline of the special committee and actively fulfill their duties.
