However, the five years since the 18th National Congress of China have been an extraordinary period in the development of the Party and the country. Major scientific research innovations such as the Shenzhou spacecraft, the Jiaolong deep-sea submersible, and the "Fuxing" high-speed rail have boosted national pride and achieved world-renowned accomplishments.

Wang Tengfeng, the director of the firm and host of the study session, stated during the study that as a lawyer, one should deeply understand the spiritual essence and rich connotations of socialism with Chinese characteristics and implement them in work. The congress proposed that comprehensively governing the country by law is the essence and important guarantee of socialism with Chinese characteristics. It is necessary to comprehensively advance scientific legislation, strict law enforcement, impartial justice, and universal compliance with the law.
