Zhiming shared his experience at the Municipal Bar Association's "Law into the Community" work meeting.
On August 18, the Municipal Bar Association held a work meeting on legal aid and community services at the Mingyue Building in Hai Shang Tian Yuan. Attendees included over 40 people, such as heads of law firms, relevant leaders from the municipal and district justice bureaus, key leaders of the Municipal Bar Association, and relevant department personnel. Meeting topics: 1. Exploring ways to further promote lawyers' participation in the "Legal into the Community" initiative; 2. Discussing the editing of the "Shenzhen Lawyers' Participation in 'Legal into the Community' Work Special Issue"; 3. Experience sharing by relevant law firms.
Partner Meng Qingjie of our firm attended this meeting and, as one of the four law firm representatives sharing experiences at the conference, presented our firm's practices of strong leadership, active lawyer participation, and collaborative efforts in advancing the "Legal Services in Communities" initiative, earning unanimous praise from attendees and commendation from the Bar Association President Li Chun.
The conference urged all law firms to strengthen leadership, maintain persistent efforts, actively participate, and sustain activities in the "Legal Services in Communities" work. It also supported suggestions from representatives, such as adhering to voluntary and nearby principles for lawyers entering communities and providing appropriate economic compensation. The conference indicated that reasonable suggestions would be implemented within feasible scope or forwarded to the courts.
