Travel is a process of purifying the soul and relaxing the body and mind, stepping away from trivial matters to filter and empty the troubled heart.

As 2018 draws to a close and the cold weather approaches, Zhiming Law Firm, to provide warmth and benefits to all staff, organized an impromptu five-day trip to Hainan. This surprise filled everyone with excitement.

Departure. On the first day, we boarded a Hainan Airlines direct flight to Haikou. The Hainan Airlines flight attendants were tall and slender with sweet smiles, filling everyone's hearts with warm joy. After a 50-minute flight, we arrived in Haikou. The distance was so close, but the climate was vastly different. Stepping off the plane, we felt the warm and humid Hainan winter, which was incredibly comfortable. Since it was a late flight arriving in Haikou close to 11 PM, the tour guide arranged for everyone to check into the hotel.

On the second day, we arrived at the Boao Forum for Asia. Across the water was Yudai Beach, where one side was seawater and the other freshwater; one side was turbulent, while the other was as calm as still water. We all played and chased waves on the sea side. Under the azure sky, we beamed bright smiles, not caring about getting tanned or darker. Additionally, the small pineapples in Boao were truly tiny and delicious. Next was Boundary Island, an island floating in the South China Sea with pristine waters. The seawater was as clear as the blue sky, and sunlight could penetrate unimpeded to depths of over ten meters, making it hard to distinguish sea from sky. Standing at a high vantage point and looking down at the ocean was breathtaking—mint green, indigo, light blue, deep blue... It was incredibly beautiful and exhilarating.

On the third day, we started our Sanya trip early in the morning. Our first stop was the Nanshan Sea Guanyin and Nanshan Temple Buddhist resort. At the main gate of Nanshan was the plaque reading "The Only Gate," and beyond it was the "Blessings as Vast as the East Sea Flowing Forever, Longevity like the Southern Mountain's Evergreen Pine" scenic area. This auspicious phrase, traditionally used to wish elders a long life, originated here. The world-renowned 108-meter South Sea (three-faced) Guanyin statue attracted a thriving incense offering. The three faces were the Guanyin holding a sutra, holding a pearl, and holding a lotus. Over the sea, it was majestic and spectacular. The next stop was the Ends of the Earth. Upon entering the scenic area, a coconut tree caught our attention. It lay reclining on the beach with branches stretching vertically upward, like a gesture of "welcome." Standing on the beach and looking into the distance, the sea and sky merged into one. Along the coast, huge rocks jutted out, smooth and polished. Strolling slowly along the shaded path, every step revealed a new view. Before us, two massive boulders stood on the beach, with the characters "Tianya" (End of the Sky) strikingly prominent. To find the "Haijiao" (Corner of the Sea) rock, we had to go around the "Tianya" rock. At the very end, on a corner of another huge boulder, we saw the characters "Haijiao." I wondered why the characters "Haijiao" were so small—was this hinting that "Tianya" is easy to find, but "Haijiao" is hard to seek?

On the fourth day, we visited Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park, the main filming location for the movie "If You Are the One 2" in Hainan. After entering the park, we took an electric car winding up the mountain. The sharp turns were thrilling and exciting for everyone. Midway up the mountain, we bought tickets for the 20-yuan cableway to walk the Jianglong Suspension Bridge that Shu Qi had crossed. The entire cableway was in full view, swaying left and right, which was very exciting. The Zhiming Institute colleagues cheered in excitement. Walking through the forest park in a light drizzle offered a different scenery and experience. Occasionally, a gentle breeze blew, accompanied by the patter of rain, allowing us to feel the serene and hazy beauty.

On the fifth day, we boarded the flight back to Shenzhen, ending this Hainan trip. The experiences and feelings from the five-day journey will benefit me for a lifetime. It relieved work stress and allowed me to reconnect with nature, which I hadn't experienced in a long time. I truly enjoyed it—the long-lost freedom and relaxation. I am really grateful to Zhiming Institute and the director for giving me this travel opportunity, allowing me to witness the tropical charm of Hainan's coconut island, broaden my horizons, and gain a new perspective on life. That blue sky, that beach, that forest, that gentle water, those views—I could never tire of them and was reluctant to leave.
