Shenzhen Lawyers Association: Zhiming Law Firm Kicks Off "12.4" Community Legal Awareness Campaign

December 4 this year marks the first National Legal Awareness Day since the implementation of the “Fifth Five-Year” Plan for Popularizing the Law, and also the first National Legal Awareness Day since lawyers became involved in the “Law into Communities” initiative. Recently, Zhiming Law Firm held a meeting to plan a series of community legal awareness activities for “12.4.” Drawing on months of practical experience working in communities, the lawyers discussed how to implement this year’s National Legal Awareness Day theme of “implementing the ‘Fifth Five-Year’ Plan for Popularizing the Law and promoting the building of a harmonious society.” The lawyers agreed that raising the legal awareness and legal literacy of community officials and residents, especially enhancing their constitutional awareness, firmly establishing the authority of the Constitution, and upholding its dignity, constitutes the legal safeguard for building a rule-of-law city and fostering harmonious communities. To this end, making constitutional outreach the main content of this year’s “12.4” community legal awareness activities will serve as the opening chapter of the lawyers’ community legal education work.
