[Shenzhen Bar Association] A delegation from the Nanjing Bar Association visited our association
[4] On the afternoon of May 6, a delegation of 13 from the Nanjing lawyer industry, including Nanjing Bar Association President Jia Zhenghe, Vice Presidents Wan Yongsong and Liu Wei, Nanjing Xuanwu District Justice Bureau Deputy Director Mao Xiaochun, Qixia District Justice Bureau Deputy Director Ye Fanglin, Jiangning District Justice Bureau Deputy Director Su Kegang, and Liuhe District Justice Bureau Deputy Director Bian Youlin, visited our association to hold discussions on the development and construction of the Shenzhen lawyer industry, the performance of the bar association's special committees, professional committees, district lawyer working committees, and the investigation and punishment of member violations. The meeting was attended by Shenzhen Bar Association President Lin Changchi, Supervisor Wei Hanjiao, Vice Presidents Yang Xiao and Wang Tengfeng, Secretary-General Li Tongbao, Strategic Committee Director Chen Xufei, Investigation Committee Director Zhao Dongchuan, Disciplinary Committee Director Liao Yaoxiong, and Business Committee Deputy Director Zhou Changchun. The meeting was chaired by Vice President Yang Xiao.
At the symposium, President Lin Changchi welcomed the delegation from the Nanjing Bar Association and introduced the development of the Shenzhen legal profession and the main work of the Shenzhen Bar Association. He stated that the two associations, as friendly brother organizations, have broad space for exchange and cooperation, and sincerely hoped for regular interactions, enhanced communication, mutual learning, and joint improvement to continuously deepen friendship and promote the common progress and development of the legal profession.
Subsequently, Supervisor Wei Hanjiao introduced the role of the Shenzhen Bar Association’s council members in the development of the profession and shared insights on the supervisory committee’s performance of its duties with the attendees. He stated that the Shenzhen Bar Association’s supervisory committee, committed to safeguarding the interests of members and the legal profession, exercises its relevant powers in accordance with laws, regulations, and the association’s charter, actively explores innovative supervision approaches, and has developed a set of effective supervision ideas and methods.
During the meeting, the two sides exchanged views on the establishment and operation of the district working committees of the municipal bar association, as well as the investigation and punishment of member misconduct. The establishment of district working committees, based on the actual work of the legal profession in the city, is significant for accelerating the construction of the legal workforce, addressing shortcomings, and strengthening advantages. It plays a key role in improving the quality and level of law firm construction in each district, guiding lawyers to practice law in accordance with regulations, leveraging professional strengths, expanding service scale, and building distinctive brands. The municipal bar association will adopt multiple measures to promote industry self-discipline and standardization, enhance the professional and specialized level of lawyers, and vigorously drive the sustained and healthy development of the city’s legal profession.
President Jia Zhenghe expressed gratitude for the warm reception. He noted that the Shenzhen Bar Association leads the nation in standardized construction, industry management systems, and serving the vast membership, accumulating many good experiences and practices, with its innovative spirit being particularly commendable. This exchange was highly fruitful, and they will earnestly learn from Shenzhen’s good experiences and practices to make their services to members warmer and more impactful, continuously enriching service content, and making the work of the Nanjing legal profession more solid and better.
During their stay in Shenzhen, the delegation also visited Guangdong Guanghe Law Firm and Guangdong Prometheus Law Firm.
