[Shenzhen Lawyers Association] The Municipal Lawyers Association Successfully Held the Eighth Session of the "Craftsmanship Transmission" Lecture Series
On the afternoon of May 30, 2019, the Senior Lawyers Committee of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, in collaboration with the Youth Working Committee, held the eighth session of the "Craftsmanship Transmission" lecture series — "A Tripartite Dialogue Among Senior, Middle-Aged, and Young Lawyers on the Art of Handling Intellectual Property Cases" — at the multi-function hall of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association. More than 50 participants attended, including Wang Tengfeng, Vice President of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association; Li Jianguo, Deputy Director of the Senior Lawyers Committee; Liu Zhongjian, Deputy Director of the Youth Working Committee; and interested lawyers and trainees from across the city. The lecture featured Xu Jing, a lawyer from Guangdong Dongfang Jinyuan Law Firm, as the keynote speaker, and He Meihua, an expert in the Shenzhen Intellectual Property Office Expert Database and a lawyer from Guangdong Zhuojian Law Firm, as the co-speaker. The lecture was moderated by Deputy Director Li Jianguo.
In his address, Vice President Wang Tengfeng expressed gratitude to lawyers Xu Jing and He Meihua for sharing their rich experience, skills, and knowledge accumulated over years of practice with fellow Shenzhen lawyers, and paid tribute to their contributions to the legal profession over the years. He hoped that the three generations of legal professionals—senior, middle-aged, and young—could use this lecture as a platform to learn from the speakers' case-handling techniques and artistic methods, enhance their professional skills in handling intellectual property cases, and contribute to the continuous development and growth of Shenzhen's intellectual property legal services.
Attorney Xu Jing delivered a detailed presentation on "Judicial Practice Regarding the Principle of Prohibition of Double Patenting," sharing practical techniques and skills for handling intellectual property cases through thorough case analysis, summarization of disputed issues, and consolidation of judicial opinions from courts at various levels.
Attorney He Meihua delivered a comprehensive and engaging presentation on the handling of the landmark first case before the Guangzhou Internet Court, covering the litigation claims, facts and grounds, comparison of the images and texts at issue, team division of labor and collaboration, and the litigation process.
Vice President Wang Tengfeng, on behalf of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, presented the "Craftsmanship Transmission" honorary commemorative plaques to lawyers Xu Jing and He Meihua. After the lecture, the participating lawyers engaged in further exchanges and discussions on intellectual property business with the two sharing guests, and expressed that they benefited greatly from the lecture, which not only deepened their understanding and knowledge of intellectual property business but also enhanced their practical skills in handling intellectual property cases.
