Shenzhen Lawyers Association: The 2015 Shenzhen Lawyers Association Law Firm Cultural Development "Outstanding Firm Logo and Outstanding Website Award" Ceremony Was a Complete Success
To continuously promote the outstanding culture of Shenzhen lawyers and distill the spirit and cultural profile of Shenzhen lawyers—characterized by professionalism, dedication, pursuit of innovation, and bold reform—the Lawyers' Cultural Development and Rules Committee of the Association, in accordance with the work arrangements of the current Council, has successfully completed the 2015 law firm cultural development selection activity for the “Outstanding Firm Logo Award and Outstanding Website Award.”
On October 25, 2015, the 2015 Shenzhen Lawyers Association "Outstanding Firm Logo Award and Outstanding Website Award" ceremony was held at Jingtian Hotel. President Gao Shu of the Municipal Lawyers Association, Vice President Huang Sizhou, Supervisor Zhao Bo, Vice President Zhao Hua of the Provincial Signage Association, Director Wang Tengfeng of the Lawyers' Cultural Development and Rules Committee, all members of the Lawyers' Cultural Development and Rules Committee, and representatives of the award-winning law firms attended the ceremony. Media outlets including Shenzhen Evening News and Southern Daily provided follow-up coverage of the award ceremony.
Director Wang Tengfeng summarized this year’s law firm cultural development initiatives regarding the “Outstanding Firm Logo Award” and “Outstanding Website Award,” and announced the results of this year’s selection. Attending leaders presented awards to the representatives of the winning firms for the “Outstanding Firm Logo Award” and “Outstanding Website Award.” The law firms that ultimately received the 2015 “Outstanding Firm Logo Award” were: Guangdong Huashang Law Firm, Guangdong Lvjian Law Firm, and Guangdong Prometheus Law Firm; the firms that received the “Outstanding Website Award” were: Guangdong Huashang Law Firm, Guangdong Guanghe Law Firm, and Guangdong Rongheng Law Firm. The speeches delivered by the representatives of the winning firms gave lawyers and the public a better understanding of law firm cultural development, and also sparked an exchange of views within the legal profession, igniting sparks of wisdom.
Vice President Huang Sizhou pointed out that the Lawyers' Cultural Development and Rules Committee, building on last year's selection, carefully and meticulously summarized experience and consolidated results, and successfully held this year's selection event. It set an example among industry activities in adhering to the working principles of fair, just, open, professional, and efficient review. At the same time, the practice of inviting different industry associations to participate in the review played a major role in promoting professional exchange and business integration across non-peer industries. As a specialized functional body under our association's council, it fully leveraged its working approach of “transcending minor formalities to expand channels and broadening horizons to spread culture,” and fully gave play to the initiative of the specialized committee. It opened a door for the outside world to understand the cultural breadth of Shenzhen lawyers in seeking common ground while reserving differences and embracing all rivers.
President Gao Shu pointed out that firm logos and websites, as external display channels for law firms and lawyers, play an important role in promoting legal business and enhancing the image of lawyers. Their greater significance lies in their seamless alignment with the Fourth Plenary Session of the 18th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China regarding the rule of law and the construction of a law-based society. The self-promotion of Shenzhen lawyers is also the promotion of legal culture by the entire society; their self-requirements are also the requirements of the entire society for legal culture; and the public's expectations of lawyers are also the expectations of the entire society for legal culture. Every law firm should have its own unique culture and be able to tell its own story. It is hoped that Shenzhen law firms will start with their logos and websites to showcase or form their own distinctive cultural characteristics.
Finally, President Gao Shu extended his congratulations to all the firms honored with the 2015 Law Firm Cultural Development "Outstanding Firm Logo and Outstanding Website Awards," and expressed his hope that all participating firms would continue to strive for even greater progress, carry forward and promote their firms' outstanding culture, showcase the spirit of Shenzhen lawyers on a broader stage, spread the legal profession's working philosophy in the construction of a rule-of-law Shenzhen to a wider audience, and elevate to a higher platform the aspiration of establishing "Shenzhen Standards" through participation in the broader cultural endeavor of building the rule of law in China.
