[Shenzhen Lawyers Association] New Look, New Highlights, New Features, Achieving New Results and New Improvements

On the afternoon of June 23, 2017, the first plenary meeting of the Publicity Working Committee of the Tenth Shenzhen Lawyers Association was successfully held in the meeting room of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association. The meeting was chaired by Chen Wei, Director of the Publicity Working Committee. President Lin Changchi and Vice President Wang Tengfeng attended and delivered speeches. Supervisor Xiao Huadong attended the meeting to supervise. Deputy Directors Yan Yudan, Yang Yindi, and Wang Ning of the Publicity Working Committee, Secretary Yu Gang, Assistant to the Director Chen Kaiwei, and committee members Wei Dan, Xie Hongjun, Ge Pengchong, Ma Haoran, Chao Weiqian, Liu Can, Hu Chunxue, Wang Zhiwei, Xu Jianghua, Xu Jiangyun, Zheng Xuemei, Shu Hongling, Hu Lin, Huang Yun, Zhao Bo, Wei Gongkui, and others attended the meeting.

At the meeting, President Lin Changchi fully affirmed the important role of the Publicity Work Committee within the Shenzhen Lawyers Association and the broader Shenzhen legal community. President Lin stated that, in addition to continuing the responsibilities of the previous term, the Publicity Work Committee should further innovate in the content, methods, and platforms of its publicity work in light of the current new development landscape, new media, and new demands. Vice President Wang Tengfeng, as the leader in charge of publicity work, introduced the examination and selection of the committee director, deputy directors, and members respectively, emphasized the importance of the committee’s work, and put forward specific new requirements and expectations for its future work. He pointed out that future publicity efforts should present a new image, new highlights, and new features, achieve new results and new improvements, and leverage the advantage of the committee’s youthful membership structure to bring publicity work to new heights through new media and other publicity platforms.

[4] After President Lin Changchi and Vice President Wang Tengfeng presented the "Certificate of Appointment" to the new committee members, all attending members collectively recited their commitment to fulfill their duties.

Director Chen Wei of the Committee conducted a study and review of the "2017 Annual Work Plan and Term Work Program of the Publicity Work Committee," the "Working Rules of the Publicity Work Committee," and the "Working Rules of the Specialized Committees of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association," and made research and arrangements regarding the division of work among the Committee Director, Deputy Directors, and Secretary. The meeting focused on discussing the specific publicity work plan for the current term. Committee members engaged in in-depth exchanges and discussions on aspects including the editing and production of the "Shenzhen Lawyer" magazine, the development of the WeChat official account, content innovation for the Shenzhen Lawyers Association website, optimized operation and management of the "Shenzhen Lawyers' Home" APP, production of the "Oral History" documentary and micro-film, the 9.25 and 12.4 rule-of-law publicity activities, cooperation and exchanges with various media including CCTV and local television stations, production and release of the "Shenzhen Lawyers Association 30th Anniversary Documentary," the branding and institutionalization of "press conferences," the discovery and publicity of outstanding figures and positive events in the legal profession, and the compilation of the "Shenzhen Lawyer Yearbook." In order to clarify work responsibilities for each committee member, members were divided into three groups based on the principle of voluntary participation combined with the division of work among the Deputy Directors, so as to participate in the specific work of the Committee.

[6] At the end of the meeting, Supervisor Xiao Huadong delivered his supervisory opinion. Supervisor Xiao noted that the committee members showed high enthusiasm for participation and affirmed the work plans, proposals, and methods presented at the meeting, as well as the performance of the members, deeming it a successful meeting. He also urged committee members to strictly adhere to the "Working Rules of the Special Committees of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association," emphasizing that their performance would be evaluated according to these rules, and encouraged everyone to fulfill their duties diligently.
