[Shenzhen Lawyers Association] The First Plenary Meeting of the Training Committee of the Tenth Shenzhen Lawyers Association Successfully Convened
[2] On the afternoon of July 3, 2017, the first plenary meeting of the Professional Training Committee (hereinafter referred to as the "Training Committee") of the Tenth Shenzhen Bar Association was held in the multi-function hall of the Shenzhen Bar Association. The meeting was presided over by He Zhijun, a council member of the Shenzhen Bar Association and director of the Training Committee. President Lin Changchi and Vice President Wang Tengfeng were invited to attend, Supervisor Xiao Huadong attended as an observer, and all members of the Training Committee participated in the meeting.
[3] The meeting focused on studying the "Rules for Professional Training Work of the Shenzhen Bar Association," the "Measures for the Management of the Professional Training Fund of the Shenzhen Bar Association," and the "Measures for the Management of Continuing Education and Training of the Shenzhen Bar Association." It reviewed the "Three-Year Work Plan of the Training Committee" and the "2017 Work Plan of the Training Committee," and determined the division of work for the Training Committee. The current Training Committee will strive to build a comprehensive, systematic, and standardized training system to enhance the legal literacy and professional capabilities of lawyers across the city, thereby improving the overall competitiveness of Shenzhen lawyers.
[4] President Lin Changchi fully affirmed the work of the Training Committee, highly praised its innovative spirit, and offered four suggestions: First, training formats should be diversified—through forums, lectures, salons, and other forms, Shenzhen lawyers can experience master-level knowledge, turning the Training Committee into a feast of ideas and a temple of academia. Second, training methods should combine online and offline approaches—beyond on-site training, full use should be made of online platforms such as the Cloud Lawyer Academy and Zhiniao Live Streaming to organize training for all lawyers in the city. Third, exchange and cooperation should be strengthened—not only with other specialized committees and professional committees of the Shenzhen Bar Association but also with units such as the Guangdong Bar Association, the Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Justice, and the Law Society, to integrate resources and hold lectures or forums. Fourth, balance should be maintained—training should benefit all districts of Shenzhen, comprehensively improving the professional capabilities and levels of lawyers in each district.
[5] Vice President Wang Tengfeng pointed out that the Training Committee should adhere to the principles of fairness and universal benefit, adopting a model that combines fixed training with巡回 training to ensure that lawyers from all administrative districts of Shenzhen can participate in training and learning. He also emphasized that the training content should be both comprehensive and focused, covering all fields while highlighting key areas to meet the training needs of Shenzhen lawyers.
[6] Supervisor Xiao Huadong, on behalf of the Supervisory Board, expressed supervisory opinions, noting that training work should emphasize effectiveness. Members of the Training Committee bear the responsibility for the continuing education and training of Shenzhen lawyers, and he hoped that everyone would understand and support each other to jointly carry out the training work well.
