[Shenzhen Lawyers Association] The First Plenary Meeting of the Training Committee of the Tenth Shenzhen Lawyers Association Successfully Convened
On the afternoon of July 3, 2017, the first plenary meeting of the Professional Training Committee of the Tenth Shenzhen Lawyers Association (hereinafter referred to as the “Training Committee”) was held in the multi-function hall of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association. The meeting was chaired by He Zhijun, Director of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association and Chairman of the Training Committee. President Lin Changchi and Vice President Wang Tengfeng were invited to attend the meeting. Supervisor Xiao Huadong attended the meeting as a non-voting participant. All members of the Training Committee attended the meeting.
The meeting focused on studying the Shenzhen Lawyers Association Professional Training Work Rules, the Shenzhen Lawyers Association Professional Training Fund Management Measures, and the Shenzhen Lawyers Association Continuing Education Training Management Measures. It reviewed the Three-Year Work Plan of the Training Committee and the 2017 Work Plan of the Training Committee, and determined the division of work within the Training Committee. The current Training Committee will be committed to building a comprehensive, systematic, and standardized training system, enhancing the legal literacy and professional capabilities of lawyers across the city, and strengthening the overall competitiveness of Shenzhen lawyers.
President Lin Changchi fully affirmed the work of the Training Committee and highly praised its innovative spirit. He also put forward four suggestions for the Training Committee: First, training formats should be diversified: by organizing various forms of training such as forums, lectures, and salons, Shenzhen lawyers can experience the immersion of master-level knowledge, and the Training Committee can be built into a feast of ideas and a temple of academia. Second, training methods should combine both online and offline approaches: in addition to on-site training, full use should be made of online training platforms such as the Cloud Lawyers Academy and the Zhiniao live streaming platform to organize training and learning for lawyers across the city. Third, exchanges and cooperation should be strengthened: not only should cooperation be strengthened with other special committees and various professional committees of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, but cooperation should also be strengthened with units such as the Guangdong Lawyers Association, the Shenzhen Justice Bureau, and the Law Society to integrate resources and hold lectures or forums. Fourth, balance should be taken into account: training should benefit all districts of Shenzhen and comprehensively enhance the professional competence and professional level of lawyers in all districts of Shenzhen.
[5] Vice President Wang Tengfeng pointed out that the Training Committee should adhere to the principles of fairness and universal benefit, adopting a model that combines fixed training with巡回 training to ensure that lawyers from all administrative districts of Shenzhen can participate in training and learning. He also emphasized that the training content should be both comprehensive and focused, covering all fields while highlighting key areas to meet the training needs of Shenzhen lawyers.
[6] Supervisor Xiao Huadong, on behalf of the Supervisory Board, expressed supervisory opinions, noting that training work should emphasize effectiveness. Members of the Training Committee bear the responsibility for the continuing education and training of Shenzhen lawyers, and he hoped that everyone would understand and support each other to jointly carry out the training work well.
