[1] Shenzhen Lawyers Association Publicity Work Committee Visits Shenzhen Library
On August 11, 2017, in order to further strengthen cooperation with Shenzhen Library, enhance the promotion of the rule of law, and publicize and promote the positive image of Shenzhen lawyers, Wang Tengfeng, Vice President of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, and Chen Wei, Director of the Publicity Committee of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, visited Shenzhen Library for an exchange. They were warmly received by Wang Bing, Deputy Director of Shenzhen Library, Zhang Sen, Director of the Reference Department, and Ms. Zhang Liang, a librarian.
[4] Both parties conducted a comprehensive review and summary of the cooperation between Shenzhen Lawyers Association and Shenzhen Library over the past few years. Deputy Director Wang Bing highly praised the lawyers involved in public legal consultations and legal lectures, commending Shenzhen lawyers for their exceptional professional standards and selfless dedication.
Vice President Wang Tengfeng proposed that both parties can leverage the advantageous location of Shenzhen Library in the heart of Shenzhen's CBD, along with its long-established readership, to make the most of these natural and geographical advantages. They should adopt diverse forms and approaches to vigorously carry out various legal education activities, especially making full use of the lawyer commentary platform. It is essential to mobilize all available lawyer resources, organize outstanding lawyers, select compelling topics, and tell legal stories well, making legal education more vivid, engaging, and practical. This will serve the public, solve their real-world problems, and further spread the spirit of the rule of law and legal culture.
[6] Deputy Director Wang Bing and Director Zhang Sen, considering the library's actual circumstances, shared their ideas on how to further collaborate with Shenzhen Lawyers Association in activities like "Lawyers Speak Law" legal lectures. They unanimously agreed that with strong support and assistance from Shenzhen Lawyers Association and the participation of more excellent lawyers, "Lawyers Speak Law" would generate greater social impact in Shenzhen, thereby contributing more to the city's development and the national Belt and Road Initiative.
The two sides held friendly discussions on specific cooperation details, including cooperation methods, teacher allocation, presentation formats, and promotional approaches. Finally, everyone conducted an on-site inspection of the lawyer presentation venue located in the South Study.
This exchange deepened the bond and mutual understanding between the Shenzhen Lawyers Association and Shenzhen Library, and built consensus. We believe that in the days to come, our collaboration will grow even closer and our prospects for cooperation will become even broader.
