Shenzhen Lawyers Association: The Working Committee for Senior Lawyers of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association Convened Its First Working Meeting of 2018
On the afternoon of April 19, 2018, the Senior Lawyers Working Committee held its first working meeting of 2018 in the conference room of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association. Wang Tengfeng, Vice President of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association in charge of the committee, Gao Liming, Director of the Senior Lawyers Working Committee, and all committee members attended the meeting, which was presided over by Director Gao Liming.
Director Gao Liming summarized the work of the Senior Lawyers Committee in 2017 and briefed the committee members on the outcomes of the study visits to the Shanghai and Jiangsu Bar Associations. The meeting also outlined key priorities for 2018: first, the recognition of lawyers who have practiced for 30 years, including preliminary surveys, selection, and commendation; second, taking the lead in organizing the “Passing on Craftsmanship” initiative, under which an influential senior figure in the legal profession will be invited to deliver a lecture each month.
Vice President Wang Tengfeng stated that 2018 marks the 30th anniversary of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association. Senior lawyers have witnessed, participated in, and driven the continuous growth and expansion of Shenzhen's legal profession. He proposed that senior lawyers who have made exceptional contributions to the development of the industry be recognized. The "Craftsmanship Transmission" initiative aims to share the rich practice experience and skills of senior lawyers, carry forward the professional spirit of Shenzhen lawyers, and support the development of Shenzhen's legal profession.
The attending committee members put forward opinions and suggestions on how to effectively implement the 2018 work plan of the Senior Lawyers Committee.
