[Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Justice] Yantian Street Introduces New Legal Publicity Methods, Lawyers Compose Folk Songs to Promote Legal Knowledge

Since signing the "Legal Services into Communities" agreement with five communities under Yantian Subdistrict, Yantian District in 2006, Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm has organized four groups of lawyers, totaling over 50 visits to communities, held 30 legal lectures, and provided free legal consultations to over 2,000 residents. This has effectively guided the public in resolving disputes through legal means and strongly contributed to community harmony and stability. Five years of community legal outreach have turned many residents and lawyers into good friends.

To make legal publicity activities more engaging and appealing to the public, the stationed community lawyers put considerable thought into their efforts. Since the original residents of the five communities in Yantian Subdistrict are Hakka people with a tradition of singing Hakka folk songs, the lawyers at Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm repeatedly published self-composed legal-themed Hakka folk songs on community legal bulletin boards and recommended them for performances at community cultural festivals, allowing residents to sing and share them, which was widely welcomed.
