[Shenzhen Bar Association] The first working meeting of the 10th Sports and Health Committee of the Municipal Bar Association was successfully held
On the morning of April 21, 2018, the first plenary meeting of the Sports and Health Working Committee of the Tenth Shenzhen Lawyers Association was held in the VIP room of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association. The meeting was chaired by Director Fu Libiao, with Vice President Wang Tengfeng and members of the Sports and Health Working Committee in attendance, and Supervisor Wu Xiaobo attending as a non-voting participant.
The meeting reported on the formation of the Sports Committee, nominated and appointed the assistant to the director and the secretary of the Sports Committee, and held a vote on the appointments. A clear division of responsibilities was established for the director and deputy directors of the Sports Committee. In addition, the meeting discussed the work plan for the current term as well as the work plan for 2018, and solicited opinions and suggestions from the attending committee members on advancing lawyers' sports and health initiatives.
Director Fu Libiao stated that the Sports Committee is a newly established committee of the Lawyers Association, bearing significant meaning and responsibility. Members should leverage their strengths, innovate boldly, and focus on practical work. Sports and health initiatives can not only enrich lawyers' cultural lives but also serve as a bridge for lawyers to engage with society, helping the public better understand and recognize lawyers, thereby creating more value for them.
Vice President Wang Tengfeng congratulated the establishment of the committee and the election of its members at the meeting. He stated that the current Shenzhen Lawyers Association places great emphasis on sports and health work for lawyers. Coinciding with the 30th anniversary of the Association, he expressed higher expectations for the Sports Committee to excel in sports and health initiatives under the leadership of Director Fu Libiao, as a tribute to the Association’s 30th anniversary. Additionally, Vice President Wang Tengfeng proposed work suggestions including taking over the teams of various Shenzhen lawyer clubs, addressing funding issues through multiple channels, selecting sports stars, and developing more proactive and feasible plans, offering forward-looking guidance for the Sports Committee’s work deployment.
Supervisor Wu Xiaobo, on behalf of the Supervisory Board, expressed congratulations and satisfaction with the Sports Committee's first working meeting. He urged all members to fulfill their responsibilities and contribute to the sports and health work of Shenzhen lawyers.
