Zhizhi Lawyers' Lecture Hall 2018 Session 3: Basic Financial Knowledge Training
As non-litigation business and commercial and economic litigation business continue to develop, and in order to enhance the professional capabilities of the firm’s practitioners in these areas and better meet client needs, the firm’s lawyers and paralegals attended a basic financial knowledge training session in the conference room on the afternoon of May 17.
This training was led by senior attorney Zhang Yong, who holds a CPA qualification and has extensive experience in non-litigation practice and commercial and economic litigation. He has conducted in-depth research on corporate law and serves as permanent legal counsel for multiple enterprises. Starting with corporate law, Attorney Zhang Yong explained the financial knowledge involved in non-litigation practice and commercial and economic litigation. Drawing on typical situations encountered throughout his years of practice, he guided participants on key aspects such as how to review financial statements and identify suspicious points in practice.
During the training, participants asked Attorney Zhang Yong questions based on the problems they encountered in practice and received effective answers. Participants all expressed that the training enabled them to systematically learn the basic knowledge of corporate finance and accounting standards, acquire the skill of understanding a company's operating condition by analyzing financial statements such as balance sheets, and gain a deeper understanding of the Company Law and relevant judicial interpretations. The improvement in the above legal and financial skills enabled the lawyers of Zhiming Law Firm to take a solid step toward the goal of becoming interdisciplinary legal talents, further enhancing the breadth of Zhiming Law Firm's business scope and the depth of its professional skills.
