Since the Spring Festival this year, the novel coronavirus has shrouded China and spread worldwide, casting a bleak and dark scene globally—streets silent, voices vanished, businesses shut down, stock markets crashed, oil prices plummeted, gold suffered, and the world wailed in despair. Facing this global human crisis, the Chinese people, Party, and government acted decisively, controlling the plague by around February, setting an example for the world. In contrast, the unreliable US leader, arrogant and dismissive, has now triggered a massive outbreak, with New York as the epicenter. Within a month, the stock market triggered four circuit breakers, a rare phenomenon in nearly a century of US history.
Since the epidemic, the Chinese people have united, supported each other, and overcome difficulties together, achieving remarkable results in defeating the virus. Now, with the domestic situation stabilizing, China has immediately extended a helping hand to over 80 countries in Europe, Asia, and Africa, as well as the WHO and the African Union. China has earnestly sent medical personnel and aid supplies to many European countries for epidemic prevention, held video conferences with nine EU nations to guide disaster relief, convened a trilateral foreign ministers' meeting with Japan and South Korea to discuss joint prevention and control, and held a China-Africa expert video conference to provide medical supplies and dispatch medical teams to African affected areas. Everywhere, China has shown selfless love and sincere help, earning countless praise and gratitude from righteous people worldwide. In contrast, at the start of the epidemic, aside from extracting epidemic information from China and leading the ban on Chinese people, the US verbally promised $100 million in aid but has paid nothing to date, with supplies nowhere to be seen—leaving only a hollow promise from an unreliable leader, exposed to the world and deserving contempt! Moreover, the unreliable US leader arbitrarily changed the WHO's official name for the novel coronavirus, personally spreading rumors by calling it the "Chinese virus" or "Wuhan virus." Not only that, but he has escalated aggression, secretly dispatching aircraft carriers to the South China Sea and sailing through the Taiwan Strait to show off military force, provoke trouble, and bully China! He has also lashed out everywhere, stirring up conflicts and oppressing the world, revealing a stubborn, self-centered, and hegemonic demeanor.
A Chinese idiom says: things turn into their opposites when they reach the extreme, misfortune turns to fortune, the just gain much support, the unjust gain little. I foresaw 20 years ago: the arrogant US, led by Trump, began its decline since 9/11 in 2001, and its response to COVID-19 today signals an accelerated fall. As Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said: the arrogant US is crumbling from its peak without realizing it, still indulging in self-centered delusions, sanctioning this, blocking that, throwing the world into chaos and devastation, causing suffering worldwide—the world has long suffered under the US!
Facing the pandemic, the US, with its industrial chain shortages and material scarcity, coupled with passive measures, self-isolation, closed borders, and a hands-off approach, is bound to sink into helplessness. Many experts predict that the US economy will officially turn from prosperity to decline, and Boeing's collapse might become a new symbol of its economic crisis and regression, only hoping it won't drag down the world or affect China!
Times change, and the Chinese people have taken all positive internal and external measures against COVID-19: controlling the outbreak, resuming production, seizing the "crisis," reducing taxes on exports, aiding the world, and supporting development.
Through this crisis, China, with its complete industrial chain and wise Party leadership, has seized opportunities: expanding domestic production and export of medical supplies, boosting 5G and new infrastructure; externally showing sincerity and goodwill, widely praised by the world, winning global hearts. These good deeds will surely push national economic development and the Belt and Road Initiative to new heights post-pandemic. China will take the chance to overtake on the curve, unite global hearts, earn worldwide respect, and become the world center. If no surprises, survival of the fittest, one rises as the other falls, US decline and China's rise, China's rejuvenation and return as a global leader should be imminent!
