Today marks another year of the college entrance examination. This exam is a major test for many students in China, and parents hope their children can be admitted to their ideal schools. However, as the exam approaches each year, information such as so-called "college entrance exam answers," "exam tools," and "pre-exam predictions" appears online to attract the attention of parents, all aimed at defrauding them of money.

Case 1: "College Entrance Exam Answers" Do Not Exist; Online Fraud Is the Reality
In May 2021, Anhui police received a report from the public that someone was defrauding parents and examinees online under the guise of "selling college entrance exam answers." After analysis and investigation, police quickly identified a suspect surnamed Huang from Jiangxi Province. In March of that year, Huang entered multiple chat groups via QQ, falsely claiming to have channels to purchase exam answers, and sold so-called "college entrance exam answers" to parents and examinees at a price of 15,000 yuan per subject, defrauding over 10 people across five provinces including Anhui, Shandong, and Hunan, and swindling more than 100,000 yuan. Huang has been criminally detained by police, and the case is under further investigation.

Case 2: Cheating on Exams Ruins Your Future; Do Not Rely on Wishful Thinking
On the eve of the 2020 college entrance exam, cybersecurity departments of public security organs across various regions successively cracked multiple cases of organized exam cheating. The criminal gangs involved used the internet to recruit cheating examinees, charged high fees, and illegally provided exam cheating services for substantial financial gain. Liaoning police solved a case of organized cheating related to the college entrance exam, lawfully arresting and criminally detaining over 20 suspects and confiscating a batch of wireless exam cheating devices. Police in Tianjin, Jiangsu, Guangdong, and other regions continued to investigate and crack down on manufacturers of wireless exam cheating equipment, destroying multiple production sites and confiscating over a thousand sets of specialized eavesdropping and covert photography devices.

Case 3: Posting "Placeholder Posts" Before Exams, Promoting "Accurate Predictions" After
Before exams, some social training institutions often set up title bars on website forums, QQ spaces, or self-media platforms, posting blank "placeholder posts" and hiding them. After the exams, they edit exam content obtained online into these posts and publish them. This creates a false impression of having obtained exam questions beforehand or "accurately predicted the real questions," using it as a gimmick for training and promotional publicity, seeking to attract netizens' attention and confuse public perception.

[1] The author's perspective
The college entrance examination is a national exam stipulated by law, and its test questions are classified as top-secret national materials. Therefore, there are extremely strict management measures for the storage and transportation of the college entrance examination questions each year. As can be seen from the above provisions of the Criminal Law, selling or providing test questions or answers in national exams stipulated by law is illegal. Candidates and their parents should not harbor any illusions; the so-called "top-secret college entrance exam answers" sold online are often not genuine, wasting money and potentially ruining the child's future.

In Case 3, there is another new scam called "placeholder posts." This involves the scammers having administrator privileges, so they post a blank post before the exam and set it to be invisible to the public. After the college entrance exam ends, they fill in the exam content and set it to be publicly visible, creating a false impression that they had "predicted" the questions before the exam, thereby committing fraud for profit. The author reminds all candidates not to trust such false propaganda to avoid being deceived.

Additionally, illegally manufacturing, selling, and using wireless exam cheating devices during the college entrance exam is also a criminal offense, seriously endangering the security of national education exams and undermining social fairness and justice. Cheating on the college entrance exam can result in the cancellation of scores at the least, or criminal offenses at the worst. Do not test the law by selling or purchasing exam cheating devices, lest you ruin your own future and regret it beyond remedy.

The college entrance exam is not only a test of one's academic achievements over more than a decade but also a review of one's moral character. Here, the author wishes all college entrance exam candidates to face the exam with honesty and confidence, and achieve ideal results!
