On July 18, Du Meizhu stated in an interview that Kris Wu used excuses such as signing artists or selecting MV leading actresses to lure young women into sexual relations. After more than a month, on July 8, Du Meizhu posted again, claiming she had experienced online bullying and death threats, and publicly shared relevant chat evidence. Subsequently, Du Meizhu stated she was preparing to submit all materials to the police to file a report.
On July 17, Du Meizhu again posted key evidence, implying that Kris Wu had transferred 500,000 yuan to her.
On July 18, Du Meizhu revealed in a media interview that Kris Wu had used various methods to scout and lure young women into sexual relationships, with victims including herself numbering more than eight, among them two underage girls, and even resorting to severe tactics like date rape. Du Meizhu claimed she had already returned the so-called "hush money" of 500,000 yuan in installments and was prepared to pursue legal proceedings. Du Meizhu stated she wanted to "go to war" with Kris Wu, and the volume and scale of information on Weibo were quite substantial.
On the evening of July 18, many media outlets and brands successively hid Weibo posts related to their collaborations with Kris Wu, essentially deleting all official endorsement Weibo posts that Kris Wu had shared overnight.
In response to the above "accusations" by Du Meizhu, on the morning of July 19, Kris Wu posted a denial, stating, "If I had such behavior, I would go to prison myself!! I take legal responsibility for all the words I have said above!!"

Whoever rapes a woman by violence, coercion, or other means shall be sentenced to fixed-term imprisonment of not less than three years but not more than ten years.

This time, Du Meizhu’s exposé truly excited the gossip-loving netizens. Although as early as 2016, a netizen named "Little G Na" had already exposed Kris Wu as the "Canadian sex king," at that time, celebrities like Ma Weiwei and Su Mang stood up to support him, and the matter fizzled out. After that, Kris Wu remained Kris Wu, and his career even flourished. In 2017, Forbes data showed that among the top 10 highest-earning celebrities in China that year, Kris Wu ranked 10th with 150 million yuan.
Although Kris Wu has always been controversial regarding his private life, if the accusation of "seducing minors" is confirmed, there is no doubt that Kris Wu will be completely finished. According to Article 236 of China’s Criminal Law, the crime of rape generally carries a sentence of three to ten years in prison; if the victim is a girl under 14 years old, the punishment is heavier. It is worth noting that Du Meizhu mentioned "underage girls," which usually refers to those under 18, not necessarily under 14. However, China’s age of sexual consent is 14. That is, if the girls who had relations with Kris Wu were between 14 and 18, he would not be guilty of statutory rape; if they were under 14, he would be guilty of statutory rape and subject to heavier punishment for rape.
Another point: Du Meizhu revealed that Kris Wu earned two to three billion yuan in ten years, showing his excellent resources and prospects.
