"Deadbeat" Buyer Refuses Payment, Zhiming Lawyer Files Lawsuit for Recovery
Recently, Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm received another second-instance judgment in its favor.
In 2009, a company in Shenzhen signed a lighting equipment sales contract with a company in Xiamen. After receiving the goods, the Xiamen company refused to pay a huge debt of hundreds of thousands. After multiple unsuccessful attempts to demand payment, the Shenzhen company entrusted the legal team of Wang Tengfeng from Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm to file a lawsuit.
The lawyers of Zhiming Law Firm, through extensive document review, keenly discovered that the "Feedback on Streetlight Energy-Saving Equipment Malfunctions" submitted by the Xiamen company had exceeded the quality objection period, and raised this point in court. The judge accepted the argument presented by our lawyers, and the first-instance judgment ordered the defendant Xiamen company to pay the remaining amount to the Shenzhen company within the specified period as per the contract.
After the Xiamen company appealed, the Zhiming legal team continued to represent the appellee Shenzhen company. Ultimately, through our lawyers' vigorous arguments, the second-instance intermediate court upheld the original judgment, and the Shenzhen company recovered the payment. The client expressed gratitude to our lawyers.
