Suspected of false advertising, successfully withdrew from the house and received compensation
In July 2012, Mr. Wang, a client, sought advice from Wang Tengfeng, Director of Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm, after purchasing a pre-sale property in Longgang District that had severe functional defects, vastly different from the developer's promotional brochures and project model, rendering it unusable. Upon detailed investigation, the lawyer found that the property was not "well-ventilated with excellent lighting from north to south" as advertised; instead, windows on three sides were blocked by the building's external structure, unable to open, with extremely poor lighting. Lawyer Wang astutely recognized that citing only quality defects would not compel the developer to agree to compensation and house return. Thus, during negotiations and in the lawyer's letter, he explicitly pointed out the developer's serious false advertising, deception, and deliberate concealment of defects, leaving the developer no legal loopholes. After multiple rounds of mediation, the developer agreed to the house return, compensated all losses, and handled related procedures with the Land Bureau and court. All of Mr. Wang's demands were met, and he expressed great satisfaction.
