In 2000, the "citizen suing government" case, in which Mr. Guan, a fruit forest contracted operator, sued the Longgang Land Bureau for massive compensation for illegal land expropriation, was successfully accepted by the Longgang District People's Court. This finally gave Mr. Guan, who had spent years running around and repeatedly petitioning without redress, a venue to "seek justice" in his marathon dispute.
※ In 2001, represented Mr. Zhang in a consumer rights infringement lawsuit against Shenzhen Rainbow Department Store concerning a Buick sedan grand prize sales promotion where the winning ticket number was void. The case was widely reported by numerous media outlets in the province and city, including television stations, radio stations, and newspapers, drawing the attention of China Central Television (CCTV), which dispatched reporters from the "Legal Report" program to Shenzhen on April 22 to interview Attorney Wang Tengfeng and the client.
