[Shenzhen Lawyers Association] Celebrating the 18th National Congress, Lawyers in Action: Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm Brings Legal Services to the Community
On the afternoon of November 8, 2012, Zhou Zhihui, a lawyer from Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm, and community specialist Guo Tianxi went to Donghai Community in Yantian Street to hold a legal service event in the community. Over 30 people, including leaders from some local enterprises and community residents, participated.
Lawyer Zhou Zhihui, drawing on his case experience, was invited to provide a detailed analysis of legal issues related to marriage and family law and criminal law, such as the rights and obligations of spouses under marriage law, protection of the rights of non-marital children, estate division and inheritance, how to characterize economic disputes, and how to determine criminal liability. He also answered legal questions from the audience on the spot. Coinciding with the successful convening of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, community specialist Guo Tianxi specially composed a folk song titled "Donghai Community Residents Busy Learning Law" to celebrate the congress and performed it on site, earning rounds of applause.
The community residents expressed that the lawyer used vivid and real-life cases to promote legal awareness, effectively addressing the legal issues residents encountered, helping them enhance their legal knowledge and awareness of rights protection, and ensuring the practical implementation of legal education. The community specialist created a new form of legal education through folk songs, which was lively, interesting, and educational. They hoped that this and other diverse forms of legal education could be continued and innovated, allowing more residents to participate and contribute to legal education efforts.
