[Shenzhen Lawyers Association] Celebrating the 18th National Congress, Lawyers in Action: Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm Brings Legal Services to the Community
On the afternoon of November 8, 2012, Attorney Zhou Zhihui and Community Specialist Guo Tianxi from Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm visited Donghai Community in Yantian Subdistrict to hold a legal outreach event. More than 30 participants attended, including business leaders and residents from the community.
Lawyer Zhou Zhihui, drawing on his case experience, was invited to provide a detailed analysis of legal issues related to marriage and family law and criminal law, such as the rights and obligations of spouses under marriage law, protection of the rights of non-marital children, estate division and inheritance, how to characterize economic disputes, and how to determine criminal liability. He also answered legal questions from the audience on the spot. Coinciding with the successful convening of the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, community specialist Guo Tianxi specially composed a folk song titled "Donghai Community Residents Busy Learning Law" to celebrate the congress and performed it on site, earning rounds of applause.
Residents in the community expressed that lawyers use vivid and lively cases to conduct legal education for community residents, effectively solving the legal problems they encounter, helping residents enhance their legal knowledge and raise their awareness of rights protection, and ensuring that legal education work is effectively implemented. Community specialists have created a new form of legal education through folk song-based legal education, which is lively, interesting, and educational through entertainment. They hope to continue to inherit and innovate diverse forms of legal education, so that more residents can participate and jointly contribute to legal education work.
