Guangdong Lawyers Association: The Finance Committee of the Provincial Lawyers Association Holds Its First Full Committee WeChat Meeting of 2018
At 9 PM on March 29, 2018, the Finance Committee of the Provincial Lawyers Association convened its Q1 2018 plenary committee members' working meeting via WeChat. Ye Naifeng, Vice President of the Provincial Lawyers Association, attended the meeting. Wang Tengfeng, Deputy Chief Supervisor, attended the meeting as a non-voting participant. Committee Director Zhou Xuan and all committee members participated in the meeting.
At the meeting, Director Zhou Xuan first reported the 2017 work and award-winning achievements of the Financial Professional Committee to all committee members and set out the work requirements for 2018. Director Zhou Xuan affirmed the committee’s work over the past year and expressed gratitude to all members for their concerted efforts. At the same time, Director Zhou Xuan also pointed out shortcomings in the work and, in light of the 2018 work plan and the requirements of the Provincial Lawyers Association, proposed the key tasks for the Financial Professional Committee in 2018, hoping that all members would continue to pool their wisdom and efforts, devote more time and energy to the committee’s work, and look forward to creating new glory in 2018!
Afterwards, Secretary-General Zhu Lili conveyed to all committee members the spirit of the Guangdong Lawyers Association training session for directors, deputy directors, and secretaries-general, and shared insights on matters including the Quantitative Assessment Scoring Rules for Committees of the Guangdong Lawyers Association. Deputy Director Yin Xing carried out preliminary arrangements and mobilization for matters including the Financial Committee's first major event of 2018.
In his concluding remarks, Vice President Ye Naifeng fully affirmed the work of the Financial Professional Committee in 2017, stating that the committee's achievements were hard-won. He expressed hope that in 2018, the Financial Professional Committee would continue to maintain a spirit of sincere cooperation, adhere to democratic centralism in practical work, and, in conjunction with the 2018 work plan, take concrete actions to continue bringing a refreshing professional atmosphere to Guangdong's legal profession.
Finally, Deputy Supervisor Wang Tengfeng delivered supervisory remarks, noting that during the WeChat meeting of the Financial Professional Committee, all participants were active and engaged, the work plan was well-conceived, and the procedures were standard. He also offered encouragement and oversight for the committee's work in 2018.
Due to the enthusiasm and active participation of all attendees, the WeChat meeting originally scheduled for one hour was extended to one and a half hours. During the meeting, the Financial Professional Committee clarified the work requirements for 2018 and the key priorities for the current stage, and will efficiently and orderly devote itself to the work of the new year, continuously bringing professional and innovative services to financial lawyers across the province.
