[Shenzhen Bar Association] Exchange between the Municipal Bar Association and Shenzhen International Arbitration Court

[4] On the morning of September 20, Lin Changchi, President of the Municipal Lawyers Association, Wei Hanjiao, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, Vice Presidents Zhang Cheng, Yin Chenggang, Han Jun, and Wang Tengfeng, along with Council Members Li Junqiang, He Zhijun, Luo Zhenhui, Gao Wenjie, and Pan Xiang, exchanged views with the Shenzhen International Arbitration Court. Liu Xiaochun, President of the Shenzhen International Arbitration Court, Vice President Wang Suli, Director of Case Management Xie Weimin, Director of General Affairs An Xin, Deputy Director of Liaison Zhou Yi, and Secretary of Liaison Chi Wenhui received the delegation and held discussions.

[5] President Liu Xiaochun welcomed the visit of the 10th Lawyers Association working team and outlined the future development directions of the arbitration court: first, implementing a home-court strategy to build "China's home for international arbitration, Shenzhen's home for Chinese arbitration"; second, establishing a high ground for international arbitration to further enhance the internationalization level, international credibility, and international influence of arbitration; third, creating a pure land in the legal field, striving for fairness and justice.

[6] Wei Hanjiao, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, stated that the working bodies of the Municipal Lawyers Association share the same goals in cooperating with the arbitration court. He suggested deepening cooperation in the following areas: first, adhering to an international perspective and innovative thinking, leveraging the role of lawyers in independence, notarization, fairness, and innovation; second, implementing cooperation plans, refining cooperation content, innovating cooperation methods based on previous collaborations, expanding cooperation fields, and comprehensively elevating the level and quality of cooperation.

President Lin Changchi affirmed the professionalism and internationalization of the Shenzhen Court of International Arbitration. He expressed hopes: first, that both sides establish a strategic cooperative relationship, sign a cooperation agreement, and deepen collaboration in areas such as building an information-sharing platform, organizing professional seminars and training, and establishing mechanisms for arbitrator selection, appointment, and evaluation; second, that both sides work together to optimize the judicial environment, continuously enhance the influence of arbitration institutions, leverage arbitration's role as a dispute resolution mechanism, and contribute to building and improving the judicial environment. The Shenzhen Lawyers Association will also improve the professional competence of lawyers, encourage more Shenzhen lawyers to participate in dispute resolution, and jointly advance the rule of law.

Both sides also discussed issues such as protecting lawyers' rights, expanding legal services, and lawyer training, reaching a consensus on integrating their respective advantageous resources and strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation.
