Shenzhen Lawyers Association Successfully Hosts 2017 Media Fellowship Event
On the morning of December 9, 2017, the Shenzhen Lawyers Association Media Fellowship Symposium was successfully held in Jiaochangwei, Dapeng, Shenzhen. Attendees included Ma Zhuobing, Deputy Director of the News Office of the Shenzhen Municipal Justice Bureau; Lin Changchi, President of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association; Wang Tengfeng, Vice President; Chen Wei, Director of the Publicity Committee; Yan Yudan, Yang Yindi, and Wang Ning, Deputy Directors; and journalists from 11 media outlets, including Legal Daily, Shenzhen Evening News, Yangcheng Evening News, and China Reform Daily.
Vice President Wang Tengfeng warmly welcomed the media friends to this networking event. He pointed out that as important forces in the construction of a rule-of-law society, lawyers and the media should further explore and strengthen cooperation, from routine publicity to feature reporting, to comprehensively and deeply showcase the innovative work and positive image of Shenzhen lawyers in the city's legal development.
Director Chen Wei and the three deputy directors introduced the relevant work of the 10th Lawyers Association's publicity efforts from aspects such as platform maintenance, learning and exchange, media liaison, and legal promotion.
Deputy Director Ma Zhuobing fully affirmed the association's recent work in multi-angle, multi-platform promotion of legal construction, as well as its close ties and positive interaction with the media. He hoped that the Lawyers Association would continue to follow the guiding principles of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, fulfill lawyers' duties, strengthen cooperation with media organizations, and elevate publicity work to a higher level.
The journalists attending the meeting expressed their gratitude for the enthusiasm and initiative of the Lawyers Association in supporting the media's coverage of rule-of-law publicity, affirmed the professionalism and professional image of Shenzhen lawyers, and put forward the following suggestions: First, keep pace with the changing times and new media trends, develop different communication methods and publicity formats for different types of media, and build a brand image that belongs to Shenzhen lawyers; Second, on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up and the 30th anniversary of the establishment of the Lawyers Association next year, carry out concentrated reporting and presentation of the achievements of Shenzhen's judicial reform; Third, further enhance exchanges, provide contact information for each professional committee, and offer more professional and targeted legal guidance.
President Lin Changzhi expressed gratitude to the media for their attention and support of the Association's work, and provided an overview of the relevant work since the establishment of the Tenth Bar Association. He highlighted the upcoming Tenth China Lawyers Forum: as a grand event in China's legal profession, this Forum, after a six-year hiatus, will be grandly held from January 6 to 8, 2018, in Shekou, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. President Lin elaborated on the historical background, organizational format, bidding process, and the significance of holding the Forum in Shekou, Nanshan District, Shenzhen. He also engaged in in-depth discussions and exchanges with attending journalists on how to comprehensively promote and report on the Forum.
