[Shenzhen Bar Association] Setting Goals to Bridge Past and Future, Steadfastly Advancing Culture — The Sixth Meeting of the Ninth Municipal Bar Association's Committee on Lawyer Culture Construction and Rules
On September 21, 2015, the plenary meeting of the Lawyers' Cultural Development and Rules Committee of the Ninth Shenzhen Lawyers Association was successfully held in the conference room of Guangdong Jinmei Law Firm. Director Wang Tengfeng of the Cultural Committee, along with Deputy Directors Yang Yindi, Zeng Chao, and others attended the meeting.
Director Wang Tengfeng summarized the work of the Cultural Committee of the current session for the first half of 2015 and expressed recognition and appreciation for the hard work and efforts of all committee members. He also pointed out that, as an important part of the legal service industry, the new culture of law firms and the positive energy of lawyers should be actively publicized and promoted, and a sound industry ethos should be passed on by more people. This year’s selection activities for the Cultural Committee’s two awards, the “Outstanding Firm Logo Award” and the “Outstanding Website Award,” fully followed the work arrangements of the Ninth Council and were fully based on the review principles of fairness, justice, openness, professionalism, and efficiency. They represent one small step in widely disseminating the professional culture and service philosophy of Shenzhen lawyers, and also a major step in advancing the broader cause of the rule-of-law culture under law-based governance. In the upcoming 2015 Top Ten Lawyer Style Photo Selection, the Cultural Committee will continue to uphold the activity purpose of “promoting Shenzhen lawyer culture and serving the construction of the rule of law in Shenzhen,” provide a platform for Shenzhen lawyers to fully showcase their individual professional image, discover the “sunshine lawyers” and “quality culture” in a Shenzhen governed by law, and widely spread Shenzhen lawyers’ innovative awareness of “daring to be first in the world,” service awareness of “willing to serve as a willing ox,” and professional pursuit awareness of “being forged into steel through repeated tempering.”
At the meeting, the committee members also held active discussions and made arrangements regarding the upcoming themed essay contest titled "Dream of the Rule of Law, My Dream," to be jointly organized with the Judicial Culture and Arts Federation of the Shenzhen Municipal Justice Bureau.
