[Shenzhen Bar Association] The Municipal Bar Association Successfully Held the 11th Session of the "Craftsmanship Transmission" Lecture Series
On the afternoon of July 25, 2019, the Senior Lawyers Committee, the Youth Working Committee, and the Lawyers College of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association held the eleventh session of the "Craftsmanship Transmission" lecture series——"The Art of Handling Criminal Defense Cases"——at the multi-function hall of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association. Wang Tengfeng, Vice President of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association, attended the lecture. The lecture featured Zheng Jianmin, a lawyer from Guangdong Xuchen Law Firm, and Liao Ruibin, a lawyer from Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm, as guest speakers. More than 40 interested lawyers from across the city attended the lecture. The lecture was moderated by Li Ruoxuan, Assistant to the Director of the Senior Lawyers Committee.
Attorney Zheng Jianmin delivered a detailed presentation on the theme of "Reflections on Equal Protection of the Criminal Legal Rights and Interests of Private Enterprises in the New Era," drawing on cases involving illegal resale of land use rights and corporate bribery to share his years of practical experience and insights.
Attorney Liao Ruibin delivered a presentation on the theme of “How Criminal Defense Lawyers Can Seize the Defense Opportunities Brought by the ‘Integration of Arrest and Prosecution’.” He elaborated on four aspects: the background of the “Integration of Arrest and Prosecution” reform, changes in the internal organizational structure of procuratorates, changes in arrest approval procedures, and changes in prosecutors’ work and mindset. Drawing on major robbery cases, he provided a comprehensive analysis of case-handling techniques and practical experience.
Vice President Wang Tengfeng expressed gratitude to lawyers Zheng Jianmin and Liao Ruibin for sharing their rich professional experience and case-handling techniques with fellow lawyers despite their busy schedules. He hoped that through this lecture, lawyers could absorb professional experience and techniques in criminal defense and enhance their practical skills in handling criminal cases.
Vice President Wang Tengfeng presented the "Craftsmanship Legacy" commemorative plaques to lawyers Zheng Jianmin and Liao Ruibin.
After the meeting, attendees had further exchanges and discussions with the sharing guests, stating that they benefited greatly from the lecture and thanked the association for providing a platform for learning and exchange.
