[2] Training for Directors, Deputy Directors, and Secretaries-General of the Guangdong Bar Association Committees

[3] On February 22, 2019, the Guangdong Bar Association held a training session in Guangzhou for the directors, deputy directors, and secretaries-general of its committees. Xiao Shengfang, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of the Guangdong Lawyer Industry and President of the Guangdong Bar Association; Ye Gang, Deputy Inspector of the Guangdong Provincial Department of Justice and Secretary-General of the Guangdong Bar Association; Vice Presidents Wang Bo, Tong Xin, Huang Sizhou, Liu Tao, Zhuang Weiyan, Zhang Jie, Chen Fang, Wu Xingyin, Wang Shaojing, and Ye Yong; Supervisor Wu Bo, Deputy Supervisors Wang Tengfeng, Lu Dongbiao, He Wei, He Wanlong, Cai Haining, and Tan Bingguang; along with supervisors of the Guangdong Bar Association, attended the training. [5] President Xiao Shengfang delivered a mobilization speech at the training. He first expressed sincere gratitude on behalf of the leadership and council of the Guangdong Bar Association to the directors, deputy directors, and secretaries-general of the committees. He noted that the association's work in the previous year was marked by highlights and impressive achievements, earning full recognition from the Guangdong Provincial Department of Justice, the broader lawyer community, and all sectors of society. He attributed this success to the active participation of the committees and the hard work of the secretariat team, who are the backbone of the association's operations and the legal profession. Subsequently, he shared opinions and suggestions on seven aspects, including the supplementation of committee members, committee work arrangements, and quantitative assessment and evaluation of committees.

[6] Meanwhile, President Xiao proposed several improvement suggestions regarding issues within the committees. Committee members should maintain full communication with superiors and subordinates, effectively conveying opinions and suggestions from higher levels to lower levels to enhance members' sense of involvement; they should fully respect the hard work of secretariat members, supporting and understanding their work; they should diligently carry out committee work in accordance with the charter and rules; they should focus on raising political awareness and work to prevent and mitigate major risks; and they should strive to address the "talent gap," providing active support and cooperation in filling this gap.

Deputy Inspector of the Provincial Department of Justice and Secretary-General of the Provincial Lawyers Association, Ye Gang

Secretary-General Ye Gang gave a detailed explanation at the training session on the theme "Introduction to the Compilation Arrangements for 'Forty Years of Guangdong Lawyers'", covering the planning, materials, and progress of the compilation, encouraging law firms with long histories and distinctive features, as well as senior lawyers with extensive experience, to actively provide relevant materials. He also hoped that attendees would contribute meaningful written materials, pictures, objects, etc., including their own historically valuable practice experiences, insights, and biographies.

Wang Tengfeng, Deputy Supervisor of the Provincial Bar Association

Deputy Supervisor Wang Tengfeng gave a presentation at the training session on the theme "Report on the Supervision Work of the Provincial Lawyers Association's Supervisory Board over Committees", sharing and exchanging insights on the supervisory board's work with attendees, detailing the basis, content, targets and scope, methods, procedures, evaluation explanations, as well as issues found during supervision and improvement suggestions.

Deputy Secretary-General of the Provincial Lawyers Association, Xu Minbiao

Deputy Secretary-General Xu Minbiao gave a presentation at the training session on the theme "Financial Management System Regulations of the Provincial Lawyers Association", explaining and clarifying relevant financial management regulations, reporting on the implementation of financial regulations by committees over the past year, and proposing corresponding handling opinions and precautions for existing issues.

Deputy Secretary-General Deng Jie gave a detailed analysis of the problems existing in the work of the provincial bar association committees in 2018, with the theme "Problems in the Work of the Provincial Bar Association Committees in 2018," and proposed corresponding improvement suggestions.

Deputy Secretary-General Shi Pusong, with the theme "Issues to Note in the Publicity Work of the Provincial Bar Association," reported on the contributions of each committee to the provincial bar association's official account, analyzed in detail the issues to be aware of in the publicity work of the legal profession, and suggested that committees should not only "do well" but also "speak well" in their publicity efforts, focusing on enhancing the awareness of publicity in daily work.
