Zhiming Lawyer Lecture Hall 2018 Fourth Lecture Begins—Training and Case Seminar on the Latest Supreme People's Court and Supreme People's Procuratorate Firearms Approval
To enhance the professional capabilities of the law firm's practitioners in relevant areas and to summarize the closure of several recent major, difficult, and complex cases, on the afternoon of June 22, lawyers and legal assistants at the firm participated in a training session on the latest firearms directive from the Supreme Court and Supreme Procuratorate, along with a case seminar.
The training was led by senior lawyer Cao Guanghui, who specializes in criminal defense, particularly with deep research in firearms, drug, and organized crime cases. Lawyer Cao compared the latest firearms directive from the Supreme Court and Supreme Procuratorate with several major, difficult, and complex firearms cases he handled before and after the directive's issuance, explaining in detail key points that determine conviction and sentencing in firearms cases, such as "objective imputation" and "firearm identification," as well as judges' tendencies in such cases.
During the training, participants raised questions based on issues encountered in their own practice, which were effectively addressed by Lawyer Cao. Participants expressed that the training deepened their understanding of the latest firearms directive from the Supreme Court and Supreme Procuratorate, aiding them in handling similar cases in the future.
