[Shenzhen Lawyers Association] Provincial and Municipal Lawyers Associations Jointly Host Forum on Litigation Methods and Innovative Thinking

On the morning of December 3, the Forum on Innovation in Litigation Methods and Litigation Thinking in the Context of Big Data, Artificial Intelligence, and Cloud Computing, co-hosted by the Shenzhen Lawyers Association and the Guangdong Lawyers Association and co-organized by the Training Committee of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association and the Youth Work Committee of the Guangdong Lawyers Association, was held at Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School. Attendees included Jiang Xilin, Director of the Shenzhen Municipal Justice Bureau; Tong Xin, Vice President of the Guangdong Lawyers Association; Wei Hanjiao, Chief Supervisor of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association; Wang Tengfeng, Deputy Chief Supervisor of the Guangdong Lawyers Association and Vice President of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association; and Zeng Mai, Vice President of the Shenzhen Lawyers Association. Professor Zhang Weiping of Tsinghua University School of Law, Professor Chen Ruihua of Peking University Law School, and Professor Zhou Youyong, Vice President of Southeast University, were invited to speak at the forum. More than 400 lawyers from across the province attended the forum.

With the advent of the artificial intelligence era, how litigation lawyers can adapt to the development of information technology and how traditional legal services can keep pace with the changing times are issues of great concern to the legal profession. Therefore, this forum, themed on innovation in litigation methods and litigation thinking, aims to help lawyers break through traditional thinking, improve their professional skills in responding to the information age, and strive to enhance their competence in serving society. To highlight the quality of the forum and reflect its academic and practical nature, the organizer specially invited legal scholars of high prestige in China's three major fields of civil procedure law, criminal procedure law, and administrative law to attend and deliver keynote speeches. Zhang Weiping, Chen Ruihua, and Zhou Youyong, three distinguished legal scholars, each grounded in their respective academic fields and combined with the latest research findings, delivered speeches on hot and difficult issues in current legal practice, sharing the latest cutting-edge legal perspectives with the audience. Professor Zhang Weiping, under the title "Perfect Litigation," focused on public interest litigation, class action litigation, and the differential thinking between civil and criminal litigation to present new concepts of civil legal services to the audience; Professor Chen Ruihua, under the title "The Development Trends of Criminal Defense," analyzed the current bottlenecks in criminal defense practice and offered positive suggestions on dividing criminal legal services into modular operations and developing and innovating criminal case representation services; Professor Zhou Youyong, under the title "The Applicable Techniques of Administrative Law Principles in Litigation," conveyed new thinking and new methods for administrative litigation legal services to lawyers. Participating lawyers also engaged in on-site interactive exchanges with the three legal scholars on issues such as the opportunities and challenges of legal practice in the context of artificial intelligence.
