On July 30, a woman driving a red Porsche in Chongqing had a verbal altercation with a man driving a Chery. From the video, after getting out of the car, the Porsche female driver pointed at the male driver and cursed, then slapped him twice. The man immediately retaliated, slapping the woman back, causing her hat to fly off.

The woman was seen wearing 20-centimeter high heels, with extremely arrogant behavior. Currently, her identity has been verified; she is in the earth and stone business and lives in a high-end residential area in Chongqing. Her husband, Tong, is indeed the head of a police station. However, regarding this, both the relevant police station and the Yubei Branch of the Chongqing Municipal Court stated that it is not convenient to disclose details.

According to the male driver, they were driving straight when the woman in the Porsche took issue with them blocking her way and verbally attacked them, saying they wouldn't let her pass, dressed poorly, and drove a beggar's car.

After making a statement and filing a record at the police station, the man said he had reached a settlement with the woman and apologized to her, saying, "We just happened to meet today, the weather is a bit hot, and everyone has a temper. We were both a bit impulsive and at fault. I did hit her, and here I apologize to her." The man also revealed, "She said a lot of things at the time that made me very scared." As for the specific words she said, the man did not disclose them.

Regarding this incident,There has been a heated online discussion about whether the man's actions were "justifiable defense" or "mutual assault."Some netizens even commented that the man's behavior was a "textbook case of justifiable defense," which garnered nearly 1,500 approvals.

A lawyer from Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm stated,Justifiable defenseRefers to actions taken to stop an ongoing unlawful infringement, causing a certain degree of harm to the perpetrator, which qualifies as justifiable defense and carries no criminal liability.

If the physical harm caused by the woman's slap in this incident is considered "unlawful infringement," it might be a stretch, but some scholars argue that justifiable defense can also be applied to unlawful infringements that violate the Public Security Administration Punishments Law. From this perspective, the man's actions could be seen as justifiable defense. While the law encourages people to fight against unlawful infringements, attention must be paid to the limits of defense.

As the incident continued to escalate, netizens revealed that the Porsche-driving woman was a habitual traffic violator, having eliminated 29 traffic violation points within three years.

She frequently got into disputes and made threats, and netizens also shared another video of the Porsche-driving woman arguing with a passing driver, loudly claiming, "Everyone in Yubei knows I speed, and running red lights is just a phone call away!"

After the video was exposed, it caused a huge stir, with netizens questioning the woman's special identity and the privileges she mentioned.

Faced with escalating public opinion, Chongqing Party Secretary Chen Min'er severely criticized the Yubei police's crisis management capabilities.

Under multiple pressures, on the night of August 1, Chongqing Police issued a notice: the municipal court established an investigation team to thoroughly probe the Porsche female car owner's traffic violations and related circumstances.

A lawyer from Guangdong Zhiming Law Firm stated,If the woman's claims are true, based on the current situation, the state staff who helped her evade traffic violation liability would at least constitute the crime of abuse of power. Those convicted of this crime are sentenced to up to three years in prison or criminal detention; if the circumstances are particularly severe, the sentence is three to seven years in prison. Where the law provides otherwise, those provisions shall apply.
