"Citizen v. Government" case of agency's illegal land acquisition and massive infringement compensation

In 2000, lawyers Wang Tengfeng and Sun Shujie represented fruit forest contractor Mr. Guan in a "citizen suing government" case against the Longgang Land Bureau for illegal land acquisition and massive infringement compensation, which was successfully accepted by the Longgang District People's Court. This gave Mr. Guan, who had been struggling for years with multiple petitions and no recourse, a place to "seek justice." Numerous provincial and municipal media provided public support, leading the Land Bureau to issue a second compensation of 68 yuan after the first compensation of over 600,000 yuan.
